I am a young doctor from the Republic of Moldova, a small country with limited resources in Eastern Europe, now immigrating to the United States in pursuit of my dream to practice medicine and serve patients here.

Medicine is my passion, and helping people is the philosophy of my life. From the very beginning of my journey, I have been dedicated to my studies and to seeking the best education possible in order to become the best doctor I can be for my patients. My hard work and commitment were recognized in 2016, when I received the Excellence Student Scholarship from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova, awarded to the top student in the country.

Relocation to the United States presents new challenges, and the residency application process is a lengthy pathway that requires continuous dedication to studies and poses significant financial barriers.

This funding would directly help me cover essential costs such as, but not only:

  • ERAS application & program fees
  • USMLE Step 3 examination fees and preparation costs
  • Travel and lodging for interviews
  • Required documents and processing fees

By receiving this support, I will be able to apply to a broader range of programs, attend interviews without hesitation, and complete licensing steps on time. Most importantly, it would allow me to focus on demonstrating my skills, passion, and commitment to medicine, rather than being held back by financial limitations.

Medicine has never been just a career for me—it is a calling to serve, to learn continuously, and to provide the best possible care to those in need. I am eager to bring my international perspective, resilience, and dedication to patient care into the U.S. healthcare system.

I would be honored to receive this support from a foundation that empowers extraordinary young people. Please find my CV attached, and I am happy to provide additional documents upon request.

Thank you sincerely for considering my application and for the work you do to support Extraordinary Young People.

With deep appreciation,
Irina
